The statement "without lye, soap cannot be made" reflects a fundamental truth about the soap-making process. Lye, scientifically known as sodium hydroxide (for solid soap) or potassium hydroxide (for liquid soap), is a crucial ingredient in the saponification process, where fats or oils react with an alkali to produce soap and glycerin. To get started, wet your hands and the soap with warm water. Rub the soap between your hands to create a lather, or use a washcloth or loofah to help generate more bubbles. Once you've worked up a sufficient lather, gently apply it to your skin in circular motions, taking care to cleanse all areas thoroughly. Rinse off the soap with warm water, ensuring no residue is left on your skin.

To extend the life of your soap, it's important to keep it dry between uses. Use a well-draining soap dish. Additionally, storing your soap in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight will help preserve its natural ingredients and fragrances.

Body Butter Shipping 

With warm weather still in effect, we will be taking precautions to prevent the melting of body butters during transit. We can not guarantee body butters won't melt during transit, but we will do everything we can to
prevent it. We will only be shipping body butters Monday-Wednesday with ice packs. If any reason your body butter should melt, allow it to firm back up at room temperature or pop it in the freezer/fridge. Melting
will not affect the body butter, it will still have the same benefits as before. We will not be replacing body butters due to melting during
transit.
